Renae Scott is a marketing and communication executive starting a new chapter having recently established Bee Collaborative, LLC – a business consulting and marketing strategy corporation. With more than 20 years of marketing experience, 16 of those working in retail, Renae’s expertise is in strategic marketing and brand strategy with an emphasis on digital marketing.
Prior to starting Bee Collaborative, Renae was the Managing Director, Marketing & Communications for JobsOhio and was responsible for consulting with the Executive Leadership Team on the strategic direction of Ohio and JobsOhio for the purposes of business attraction. Renae oversaw all marketing and communications efforts for JobsOhio, including brand positioning as well as product marketing JobsOhio target industries and programs to generate leads that result in economic development activity for the state, and ultimately bringing jobs to Ohioans. Renae was responsible for branding, communications, marketing, advertising, media buying, digital marketing, social media, live events and creative services and was the primary liaison with the JobsOhio Network partners who are responsible for their region brand positioning and marketing.
Renae has extensive experience across many areas in marketing and communications. Prior to joining JobsOhio, Renae was associate vice president, marketing for Victoria’s Secret leading direct-to-consumer marketing efforts at Victoria’s Secret and played a key leadership role in transitioning the catalogue/print division into a digital first division. During her time at Victoria’s Secret, Renae oversaw marketing operations, optimized the company’s marketing spend across integrated channels, and developed and tested complex approaches to customer segmentation and suppression.
A native of Indiana, Renae began her college education at Butler University pursing International Marketing before moving to Ohio to work for Victoria’s Secret and completing her degree. She holds a B.S. in marketing from Franklin University and an Executive Certificate in Leadership from the University of Notre Dame.
Renae enjoys learning, reading and traveling. On the weekends, you find her experiencing local attractions with her husband and enjoying time with her pets.
